Russia adopted a series of precautionary measures as a reaction to NATO's fleet deployment in the Black Sea but it expressed its hope that there will be no direct clashes, Putin's spokesperson Dmitri Peskov declared on Wednesday.

Peskov added that NATO ships deployed near Georgia and their decision to send humanitarian aid using battle ships are actions that are hard to be explained and understood, AFP quotes.

Russia's admiral ship Moskva reached the Suhumi port on Wednesday, Interfax informed. Previously, Russian authorities declared that the ship is about to return in Sevastopol.
