Romania doesn't give up its claim over a piece of the Ukrainian territory, a report of the Center for Civil Society Problems in Kiev reads, as quoted by RIA Novyi region. "The normal development of interstate relations is impeached by the tendentious exploitation of several history-related problems by the authorities in Bucharest, mainly the North-Western part of the Bucovina region, the Herta and Hotin counties and the Ismail region in the Moldova Republic", the document claims.

According to the same document, "Romania makes efforts to form its own cultural space, which goes beyond its national borders. The activity of the Romanian cultural centers gained a political nuance. The Romanian communities put pressure on the official authorities in the Cernauti region".
