EC President Jose Manuel Barroso urged the two countries to resume gas deliveries immediately, AFP informs. He added that he will advise all gas companies involved to sue the two countries and will urge EU countries to reach a common action in order to find some alternatives to the natural gas supply.

International observers monitoring the transit of the Russian natural gas deliveries towards Europe confirmed that Ukraine blocked the deliveries, the Russian Gazprom giant declared on Tuesday night, AFP informs quoted by Mediafax.

The observers signed a report attesting that the gas was blocked in Ukraine even though the pressure in the pipelines at the Russian - Ukrainian border existed. The transit of the natural gas towards Europe was resumed on Tuesday morning but now it has stopped again.
