Gazprom and Naftogaz, the Russian and Ukrainian natural gas companies will sign, on Monday, the natural gas delivery agreement to Europe and resume the transit - Ukrainian PM Timoshenko announced, quoted by international press agencies. She declared that as soon as all details will be established, she will leave for Moscow to sign the document.

BBC reads however that the position of the Ukrainian President is confusing which could block talks. The two countries signed on Sunday morning an agreement on resuming gas transit after Timoshenko met in Moscow with her Russian counterpart the first time after the natural gas crisis started.

The two decided that Ukrainia would buy in 2009 natural gas with a discount of 20% if it maintains the transit tariffs at the same level of 2008.
