The Rome Court decided on Tuesday evening to cancel the arrest warrants issued on the names of two Romanians, accused of raping a 14-year old girl in the Caffarella park, in Rome. The two remain in prison, though, the first one being accused on another rape, in January, also in Rome, the other - accused of defamation and self-calumny, after he declared that he was beaten by Italian and Romanian policemen, in order to confess the rape.

A few days ago, Corriere della Sera showed that all the legal evidence in the case prove that the two Romanians are not the authors of the rape.

The conclusion comes after a long series of anti-Romanian rhetoric of major Italian politicians. Corriere della Sera adds that the DNA evidence indicates that another Romanian may be the author of the rape, but he has still to be identified.
