A Romanian citizen was arrested on Wednesday on Shannon airport, West Ireland arriving from London. The Romanian, whose identity was not revealed, is about 40 years old and was arrested by the Irish customs officers as they received a tip that the man is trying to smuggle 1.5 kg of cocaine from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The drugs, worth 140,000 euro were hidden in a false pocket in the man's luggage. Together with the Romanian an Irish citizen was arrested, who was supposed to receive the drugs. Currently, the man is in police custody.
