The president of the Moscow Institute for National Strategy, the influential political scientist Stanislaw Belkovsky, supports the idea that the protests in Chisinau are nothing but the beginning of a new era in this country's history - the beginning of the movement of unify with Romania. Belkovsky is the author of an older plan that suggested a step-by-step unification between Romania and Moldova, with only one clause - to recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed Transdniester Republic.

Belkovsky is also the author of the renowned work "The State and the oligarchs", a book that led to the campaign against billionaire Mikhail Khodorkovsky and his company, Yukos.

In his opinion, Moldova will son join Romania, the K2Kapital magazine reads.
