Motherwell seemed to play like a second league football team on Ghencea stadium in Bucharest. The Scottish rarely found their way towards Tatarusanu's goal. Steaua won score 3-0. Craigan scored in his own goal (minute 30). The two Romanian who scored further were Nicolita (minute 46) and Stancu (minute 61). This is an important victory for Steaua, in the Europe League qualification play-off.

The red-blue team started energetically the match against the Scots, but Bergodi's students missed a lot in the first 20 minutes in Ghencea.

The score was opened after 30 minutes, when Craigan helps Steaua by scoring against his own team. This was the input that really launched Steaua.

Romanians' constant attacks paid off. Nicolita brought the score at 2-0 with a goal before the first half ended. He was helped by Grezelak and Bogdan Stancu, who put on a show.

The second half found the Romanian team in a better state of mind, having the situation to their advantage. The Scots continued to play modest, but with a good chance to score in minute 74, when Christopher Coke sent the ball over the goal. Bogdan Stancu finalised the score in minute 61, after being superbly helped by Grzelak.

Trainer Cristiano Borgodi was pleased with the fotball hs students played in the first half of the game. He said that despite details needed to be adjusted in Steaua's football, he noticed his students understood that they have to play with passion.
