Republic of Moldova President Vladimir Voronin will meed Russian leader Dmitry Medvedev in Sochi, the summer residence of the Russian president, on Friday, according to an announcement of the Moldova Presidency. It is the third meeting between the two this year, Unimedia.md reports.
The visit comes right before the new Parliament of Moldova convene and a new president is due to be elected. The Parliament should convene on August 28, following the July 29 elections in Moldova.
The first session of the Parliament will see the election of leading parliamentary structures. Then deputies have to vote for the new head of state.
