Mihai Ghimpu will remain the speaker of the Moldovan Parliament, after the Constitutional Court decided to cease the constitutional control of the decision to election Ghimpu, Jurnal.md informs on Tuesday. After two hours, the Constitutional Court decided to cease the constitutional control over the Parliament's decision on August 28 to elect Ghimpu as speaker of the Moldovan Parliament.

Communist Party deputy Vladimir Turcan declared that they will have to comply with the decision of the Court and that his party will resit in the Parliament's meetings. Liberal Vice President Alexandru Tanase said that the Constitutional Court took a legal decision.
