The Moldovan government, together with their US counterpart signed an amendment to the agreement letter concerning drugs control and rule of law enforcement. The American state offered to financially support the Republic of Moldova with 1.5 million dollars to finance actions that regard the fight against corruption, traffic of persons and organized crime, Unimedia informs.

The agreement was signed by Mihai Ghimpu, interim President of the Republic of Moldova and US Ambassador to the Republic of Moldova, Asif J. Chaudhry.
