Romania dominates the top of the biggest 100 non-banking companies in South-East Europe, in regards to incomes. The list has been compiled by SEE News and Roland Berger consultancy. It features 43 Romanian companies. Petrom ranks first with incomes worth of a total of 4.85 billion euros in 2008.

The next two positions are taken by Ina from Croatia and Lukoil Neftochim from Bulgaria, the companies displaying incomes worth of 3.65 billion euros and 3.64 billion euros, respectively.

The biggest companies’ top 100 also feature Rompetrol Rafinare (rank 7), Arcelormittal Galati (8) and Automobile Dacia (9). Other Romanian business which made it to the list are Metro Cash and Carry, Rompetrol Downstream, Petrotel Lukoil, Orange, Lukoil Romania, Vodafone, GDF SUEZ Energy Romania, Romgaz, Carrefour Romania, Porsche Romania, British American Tobacco Trading.

Most of the Romanian companies included within the biggest 100 S-E European businesses activate in the oil, energy and en gross and en-detail commerce.

The top included ten countries, namely Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
