European Parliament Jerzy Buzek congratulated Traian Basescu through an official letter for his new mandate, an EP press release informs. British PM Gordon Brown also took the opportunity to congratulate Romania's new President, Traian Basescu and assured him of his support in his fight against corruption. Brown added that the mandate was offered to continue decisive steps in reforming the justice system and increase the performance of the judiciary.
