The final results of the Presidential elections in Ukraine confirmed Viktor Yanukovici as President. According to the Electoral Central Committee, after Sunday's elections, Yankovici received 48.95% of the cast votes while his counter candidate, Iulia Timoshenko obtained 45.37% of the votes. 7 out of 10 voters turned out to vote, CNN reads.

Tuesday, Timoshenko declared that she will not admit defeat in the Presidential elections and will contest the results. At his turn, Yanukovici urged Timoshenko to quit and accept the opposition role, to avoid a crisis.
