Ukraine's President Viktor Yanukovici decided on Thursday, shortly after he swore in as President, to decrease by 20% all spending of the Presidential administration and by 50% his salary. His predecessor, Viktor Yushcenko, received a 1,400 dollar salary, Anna Guerman declared, quoted by RIA Novosti.

The President decreased his salary by 50%, Guerman said. Yanukovici promised to cut public spending and distribute funds to the poor people.
