The third round of negotiations with the USA on Romania's participation at the anti-missile shield will take place this Fall, Romania's Foreign Affairs ministry informs. The decision comes after an American delegation was present in Bucharest to continue talks on this issue.

The American delegation was lead by Frank Rose, Under State Secretary for Arms Control while the Romanian team was lead by Bogdan Aurescu, State Secretary for Strategic Affairs. On February 4, Romania's Supreme Defense Council approved the Americans' invitation sent by the US President Barack Obama for Romania to participate in the anti-missile shield defense system in EUrope.
