A Russian company offers 5 million euro for the 3D Gypsie movie, an animation about a joyful story of the gypsies and their day to day lives, Animation Magazine reads. The movie will be the first animation movie created in the Republic of Moldova.

The Simpals animation studio in Chisinau announced that it has financing from a Russian company, STV Film.

Simpals representative Roman Stirbu declared that about 100 people will be hired to work for the next 5 years at the animation project.

The Gypsie initially started as a schort movie of about 10 minutes based on an approved script of Artur Mircea Mihai Cerari, the leader of the Rroma in Bessarabia.
