The European Commission urges nine member states, including Romania to implement and adapt the European legislation for environment. Namely, the EC urges the countries to respect European demands regarding air quality. The countries have two months to comply otherwise, the EC can sent the case ot the EU Court of Justice.
According to the EC press release, Romania, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Luxembourg, Slovenia and Spain did not communicate whether they transposed the legislation.
