Moldovan Constitutional Court approved the request of the Communists to recount the votes cast on November 28 at the legislative elections, the press at Chisinau reads. The Central Electoral Committee has 7 days to recount all votes. After the Novemer 28 elections, PRCRM submitted a complaint indicating irregularities in the verbal processed from voting sections.

According to Jurnal.md, judges showed that the request of the Communists was approved because there were irregularities found. Now, the Central Electoral Committee has 7 days to recount votes since the Court's decision but the recount needs to be done in one day only.

Depending on the results of the recount, Communists warn that they might request that the votes be cancelled.
Reactions from the political arena sprang out immediately. PLDM Justice minister Alexandru Tanase declared that this action will not bring more mandates to the Communists but it will make the state spend more money.

The same opinion is shared with PD party representative, Marian Lupu. Mihai Ghimpu, leader of the Liberals declared that he hopes that the recount reveal an extra two mandates necessary to elect the President.
