Two researchers from the Rice University in the US will be awarded today, December 13 by President Barack Obama for exceptional results in research, Romanian news Mediafax informs quoting stirileprotv.ro.

One of them is Romanian Emilia Morosan, assistant professor of physics astronomy and chemistry at the above mentioned university. Morosan receives on Monday a distinction for her debut in a scientific career. The Romania is among 85 researchers to be awarded by Obama.

This is one of the highest distinctions offered by the American government for researchers at their debut. Morosan declared that she is very happy that she is one of the researchers appreciated and said that the most important thing is that she wil have supplementary funds to hire new people in her team.
