A 20 year old Romanian in Berlin - Charlottenburg threw her newly born baby, born on Christmas day out of the window, in the snow. The baby did not die due to the fall, but later at the hospital. Doctors declared that the cold to which the baby was exposed caused his death, Morgenpost.de reads. Adriana B., the mother who threw her child works as a prostitute in the area. Police released an arrest warrant on her name.

The baby was found by some neighbours who took the naked baby and tried to warm him up. He was immediately transported to the hospital, but doctors could not save the baby. The investigation of the police revealed that the baby was thrown from the first floor of the house where Adriana B. was living.

Citizens wonder why the woman decided to murder her baby when there are several drop offs in Berlin for unwanted babies. There are preheated places with dipers where babies can be left. When the door is closed, after a short while (to leave the mother time to flee) an alarm takes off within the institution. These so called babyklappen were set up nearby hospitals, charity organizations to prevent the murder of unwanted babies.
