The Spanish civil guard discovered a network of felons that brought to Spain Romanian women, looking for a job, whom they obliged to prostitute in Alicante region, Romanian daily Romanul din Spania reads.

In the operation investigators arrested 8 members of the network formed by 5 Romanians, 2 Albanians and 1 Moroccan and discovered that they smuggled Romanian women whom they exchanged for cars. The Albanians were the head of the operation while Romanians were the ones who convinced women to come to Spain, promising jobs.

At destination, women were threatened and their documents confiscated and compelled to prostitute.
