Several judges are currently prosecuted, being accused of frauds in organizing the exams for high-ranking positions in Prosecution Offices around the country, the National Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office (DNA) announced on Thursday. The contest to gain a chief-prosecutor seat as organized in September, the results being expected to become public in December.

"I am sure that the image of Justice will be affected, but it's a prove that the Justice can clean itself", said the head of the National Magistrates Institute, Mihai Selegean. DNA mentioned the names of the persons involved in the case and the charges brought against them.

Prosecutor Sterian Guli, who won the chief-prosecutor seat in the Bucharest Prosecution Office, was detained last night by the DNA prosecutors, suspect of offering bribe - just like two other prosecutors - in order to gain access to the exam questions before the exam.
