Romania Transports minister Ludovic Orban has had his driving license suspended after being involved in a car accident on Sunday, but reported the accident on Monday night. The police suspended his driving license for one month and sanctioned him with five penalty points. Orban as sanctioned because he did not comply the legal 24 hour time limit to report an accident.

The accident happened in downtown Bucharest as his car crashed another. Police said nobody was injured, despite some witnesses claiming that a woman was hit and wounded in the accident.

Romanian news station Realitatea TV reminds that Orban has been involved in several other car accidents since 2003.
