The second ice church in the world, and the first in South East Europe has received its blessing at Balea Lac, Central Romania, local television Antena 3 informs. The church measuring 60 square meters was built in 3 weeks and already received some hundreds of tourists.

More and more people have been submitting requests to baptize their children or marry in the icey church, where no more than 200 candles are lit at any given moment to prevent melting.

The first such ice church has been built in Sweden.

The mountaineous area of Balea Lac also hosts the only ice hotel in Eastern Europe, opened last month.
