The Romanian short feature film " A nice day to go to the beach", directed by Bogdan Mustata after a screenplay by Catalin Mitulescu, won the Golden Bear Award in the Berlin Film Festival (February 7 - 17), the official festival website informs.

The 10-minutes film tells about three minor delinquents who kidnap a truck driver and a prostitute and have fun with them on an empty beach. All three are not professional actors, chosen from prisons and re-education centers in Romania.

The Berlinale Shorts saw over 1,500 short films from 64 countries entering the competition. The Silver Bear award was won by the Indian production "Udedh bun".
