Romanian public television (TVR), the official media partner of the 2008 NATO Summit in Bucharest, promises full and professional coverage of the event with the financial support of the government, which provided some 5 million RON in financial assistance for the coverage campaign. TVR coordinator Claudiu Lucaci talks in a HotNews.ro interview about how TVR plans to manage and cover the event.

Lucaci says that the government only allocated some 5,200,000 Romanian Ron for the event. He says TVR will provide full assistance to any media organization interested in covering the event, which will draw top official representatives from dozens of countries to Bucharest this spring.

TVR is the national host broadcaster, as chosen by NATO officials. Thus, responsibilities are high and Lucaci says that TVR has taken its role very seriously, planning to put forward the best technical equipments.

Moreover, Lucaci argues that TVR's main goal is to cover live all the main events of the Summit and accurately inform the population. He says that he opted for the best International Relations specialists in the country to analyze the importance, history and significance of the event.
