The Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) has announced that country's stand regarding Kosovo independence remains unchanged. Foreign minister Adrian Cioroianu will offer more details, after a series of official talks at European Union level, according to MAE.

Romanian authorities already announced that they would refuse to acknowledge the independence of Kosovo unless a deal is reached in this regard between Belgrade and Pristina or the EU adopts a common stand on the issue. After Kosovo declared its independence on Sunday, both the Presidency and the Government in Bucharest refused to make any official statement on the issue.
