Anti-graft prosecutors officially informed former Telecom Minister Zsolt Nagy that he is investigated for abuse in office. Nagy declared that he hoped the file, related to activities of the Romanian Mail company, would be closed soon and his reputation cleared. Former Justice minister Tudor Chiuariu is investigated in the same case and faced hearings last week.

Nagy is accused of having illegally approved a real estate transaction between the Romanian Mail company and the state. Nagy declared that the main job of a minister is to approve Governmental decisions and thus he should not be investigated.

At his turn, former Justice minister Chiuariu refused to make any statements about the case. Chiuariu severely attacked both Romania's President and the Head of National Anti-corruption Department, Daniel Morar for opening up cases against the head of state's political rivals.
