Bucharest officials will receive seven presidents from the Community of Independent States, including Russia, at the NATO summit next week. The heads of state represent all the areas where unsolved conflicts still take place. Each one already made statements confirming that they intend to discuss the post-Kosovo syndrome on CIS territory during the summit.

Except for Vladimir Putin, all GUAM states presidents will arrive in Bucharest: Georgia – Mikhail Saakasvili, Ukraine – Viktor Yushcenko, Azerbaijan – Aliev, Moldova – Vladimir Voronin. Other participants from the area include Turkmen president Berdymuhamedov and Uzbekistan president Karimov.

Vladimir Voronin even promised to have the Transdniester problem solved during this summit and promised Moldovans that the Republic will be whole again.
