Patriarch Daniel, head of the Romanian Orthodox Church, will not interrupt his activity during the hospitalization required by the surgical intervention he suffered this week-end, the public radio station informs. Daniel broke his ankle after the sermon on Sunday morning and will remain under medical observation until Friday. The Patriarch asked the Patriarchy Chancellor to put up an office within the hospital.

Military Hospital manager Ioan Sarbu said that the surgery took place without any incidents and that the general health state of the Patriarch is fine.
