A Romanian woman died and two men were injured in an accident in Egypt, which had a final toll of nine victims and at least 28 injured. Romanian ambassador in Egypt, Gheorghe Dumitru, declared for the Antena 3 TV station that the tourists were part of a larger group of 103 Romanians spending their holidays in Sharm el-Sheikh.

The bus heading for Sharm el-Sheikh tipped over and burst into flames in the Wadi Ghandal region, 45 kilometers from Suez. A local responsible announced that the other eight victims are, most probably, British and Canadian. One Canadian woman had her leg cut off.
