One of the nuclear reactors at Rivne, in Eastern Ukraine, was shut on Tuesday afternoon, after spilling some radioactive water, authorities announced. State-owned company Energoatom, which manages all 4 nuclear plants in Ukraine, announced that the spilling is not above acceptable limits and that the radioactivity level in the area remained unchanged.

One of the plant officials said that 1.3 cubic meters of water leaked from one of the cooling pipes, but was retained in a hermetically closed recipient.
