A local school inspector from Cluj, Central Romania claims that pupils would not cheat at the Baccalaureate exam if they would be supervised with video cameras. According to Victoriana Boscaneanu, video cameras should be installed in the rooms where children study and they would be functional during the year also. The proposal comes as a series of major irregularities were claimed at the Baccalaureate exams in Romania this year.

Boscaneanu says that video cameras are not too hard to instal since many schools already have a surveillance system. She says that abroad schools having used this method have had great results.

Moreover, she says that new technology needs to be used in order to counter the new cheating options students have.
