Romania's Football Federation scheduled the match against France after the model adopted with Netherlands where the Romanian team won. Thus, the game will be held in Constanta, on October 11, at 8:30 pm. The decision seems wise as the Romanian national team were not cheered by fans at their return from this year's Euro 2008, where they failed to push through the preliminary rounds.

Thus, Romania will face the Lithuanian team in Cluj and France in Constanta. Romania's first representative is in the same preliminary group as France, Serbia, Lithuania, Austria and Faroe Islands.
