Romania's online advertising association, IAB Romania officially announced on Thursday the launching of a first independent study to evaluate the value of online advertising in the country. The study will be set up in cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers Romania along a methodology developed by PwC together with IAB US and IAB Europe. This methodology is already applied in Western countries for over 10 years now.

The first study will cover 2007 and the first half of 2008 while the second half of 2008 will be evaluated in early 2009. The study will offer information regarding the total value of the Romania online advertising, its seasonality, revenue distribution and industries present on the market.

Currently, the methodology is applied by PwC in other countries in the same partnership with IAB Europe. The results will be published in a general summary report published on the IAB Romania while a complete report will be available to the Association's members.
