Romanian businessman Ovidiu Tender announced that he might consider taking over Poli Timisoara, the main football team in West Romania, Romanian daily Cotidianul informs. Tender confirmed that he talked to Marian Iancu, the club's owner after the latter announced that he planned to give up FC Timisoara.

Tender declared that he could leave the team to dismantle, as this was not only in his interest but also in the nation's interest. He declared that he planned to pay as much as it takes so that Poli Timisoara become a top team in Romania and not only.

Marian Iancu announced on Monday that he would give up the shares he owns in Poli Timisoara.
