Romanian Senate speaker Nicolae Vacaroiu could be the new Court of Accounts chief, parliamentary sources declared for HotNews.ro. Moreover, Social Democrats and Liberals are negotiating more functions as general elections are getting nearer. The same sources declared that the Court of Accounts chief will have to come from the Social Democratic party, most probably in the person of Nicolae Vacaroiu.
The mandates of the current employees expire on September 30 and the Senate votes on Wednesday the law organizing the institution. The Senate speaker has one more month until his term in the Senate expires.
