European Commissioner Danuta Hubner declared in Brussels on Monday that Romania was very active in preparing the big projects due to be submitted for European funding. Hubner declared that each country deals with structural funds in their own way and Romania was among the very active.

One of the main reasons for this, Hubner said, was the opening of the Jaspers European assistance project that helped new EU member states, like Romania, to adapt easier and take advantage of all opportunities offered.

She added that currently the European Union was working at approving the last operational programs. Hubner declared that even though everybody wished to speed things up, the processes were very dynamic, given their procedures.
