Romanians switched back their clocks by one hour, to enter wintertime this past weekend. Thus, 4 am became 3 am on Sunday and Sunday was the longest day of the year. Timetables for railways remain the same.

Starting Sunday, Romania enters the second time line, diminished the difference between GMT to 2 hours. Romania adopted the official summertime and wintertime hour in 1997, in the same time with all European Union member states, part of the same deal.
