The controversial mayor of Constanta, Radu Mazare, was sent to court by the National Anti-Graft Prosecution Office (DNA) in a file referring to the illegal retrocession of some terrain lots, a DNA press release informs. The file also involves 36 other employees of the Constanta City Hall, accused of causing the institution a 114 million Euros prejudice.

The 37 public servants are accused of solving in an inappropriate manner a series of retrocession demands, which led to the obtaining of large terrain lots by the employees themselves or their entourage.

The estimated prejudice is 77 million Euros for the state budget and 37 millions to the city of Constanta.
