The leaders of the "Sed Lex" unions alliance met on Thursday Economy Minister Varujan Vosganian and the head of Fiscal Authority, Daniel Chitoiu. The unions demand a 50% wage growth. Daniel Chitoiu promised to put up a team of specialists to analyze the demand, but mentioned that, in his opinion, the growth is inacceptable.
The law for the public servant's statute will be hurries up instead, Chitoiu said.
Sed Lex president Vasile Marica declared that, from his point of view, the negotiations have failed and the union prepares to go on general strike on October 13.
Local administration unions say that their leaders in the territory were threatened by authorities, in an attempt to prevent the strike.
