The Constitutional Court will take a decision on the government's ordinance to postpone the implementation of the 50% teachers' salary increase law. The decision was already postponed for one day, after the Court received, on Tuesday a request from the government informing it that the ordinance was overruled by a second one.

Meanwhile, one of the most important teachers' unions urged the People's Attorney to attack, again the government's ordinance. Radio Romania Actualitati informs that the four union federations announced that they will not negotiate the implementation of the law and do not give up their protests which include a general strike starting November 18.

UPDATE: The Constitutional Court ruled that the emergency ordinance that postpones the implementation of the 50% teachers' wages increase until April 2009 is not constitutional.
