US opened on Monday the biggest embassy in the history, located in Baghdad's green area. The building, looking more like a fortress than like an embassy, should be a symbol of US engagement in Iraq, Associated Press reads.
US Ambassador Ryan Crocker declared that the new headquarters, worth 700 million dollars is a witness of a long term friendship with Iraq where some 146,000 Americans are still deployed. Crocker declared that the embassy will host a better future and a better development of the partnership between the two countries.
