E.ON Romania negotiates with Sterling Resources to acquire natural gas that the company may extract from the Black Sea continental plateau, E.ON Romanian general director Frank Hajdinjak declared in a press conference.

He explained that his company has been negotiating for several months now to acquire natural gas resources that Sterling may extract from the wells in the continental plateau. He declared that his company was unlikely to take part in the public tenders organized for concessions in the area, according to NewsIn.

Currently, on the Black Sea continental plateau there are five wells in production: Lebada East, Lebada Vest, Sinoe Pescarus and Delta (oil and associated gas), operated by Petrom. Moreover, two free gas reserves, discovered by Sterling Resources, Doina and Ana are currently evaluated for development works.
