False bomb alert in Timisoara's International Airport, West Romania

Carpatair airline company informs, in a press release remitted to HotNews.ro that Wednesday, the International Traian Vuia Airport, in Timisoara, West Romania, was on red alert for about an hour after the traffic control tower was informed that the SAAB-2000 plane has a bomb.

The plane, with 22 passengers and 4 members of the crew, landed immediately, without incidents, on the Traian Vuia airport. The route of the plane was Turin - Timisoara and the information was received by the time the plane was close to destination.

The plane was thoroughly checked after all passengers were safely transported to the airport, the press release explains. According to sources in the airport, several other flights were deviated to other airports close by.
