FC Arges football club owner Cornel Penescu and the President of the Arbiter's Committee Gheorghe Constantin received, on Tuesday morning, an arrest warrant for 29 days. The decision was taken on Tuesday morning by local judges. Another two people investigated in the file, PIC Hypermarket general director Liviu Facaleata and ex- Consumer's Rights Arges Director Cristian Libertatu were arrested.

Penescu was previously retained for questioning on Monday night for 24 hours by anti-graft prosecutors. Investigators declared that Penescu offered 125,000 euro worth in bribes to some arbiters to favor his team.

Constantin was retained on Monday night as well, for 24 hours in the same file after anti-graft prosecutors sealed his office and analyzed his files.
