Germany registered its first swine influenza case after a patient living close to Ratisbonne, in Bavaria was diagnosed, the German Regional Health ministry informed, quoted by AFP. Robert Koch Institute for infectious diseases confirmed the infection.

UPDATE: Austria confirmed on Wednesday its first swine flu case, at a 28 year old woman recently returning from Mexico, Reuters informs. Austrian Health minister declared, in a press release that the woman is getting better and that there are another two possible cases.

UPDATE: A possible swine flu case in Croatia, AFP informs. The victim is a 22 year old woman just returning from the US, Croatian Health ministry informs. Romanian President Traian Basescu is currently in an official visit to meet his Croatian counterpart, Stjepan Mesic.
