The Romanian movie, The happiest girl in the world, directed by Radu Jude received a FIPRESCI prize within the sixth edition of the IndieLisboa Festival, the International Independent Film Festival on April 23 - May 3. This is the second FIPRESCI prize for the movie, after the one received in the Sofia Festival.

The happiest girl in the world also won the CICAE prize, at the Berlin Film Festival, the Best Script Prize (Radu Jude and Augustina Stanciu) at the B-EST International Film Festival and a Special Jury Prize for Best Actress to Andreea Bosneag within the goEast Festival at Wiesbaden. The Special Jury Prize was especially created for the Romanian actress for her impersonation of the character.

In Romania the movie will be screening starting May 15 within the European Film Festival.
