Public servants working as auxiliary personnel in the judicial system will organize a warning strike on Monday, for two hours as a protest for their salaries, from 10 am to 12pm. They claim that their rights are breached and the supplementary hour payments do not respect existing rules. All processes will be pending during the strike.

The National Union Federation PROJUST President, Stefania Teleman representing 4 thousand members declared that negotiations will start today in order to reach a solution. She added that the Labor ministry refused to mediate the conflict between the workers and the Justice ministry, Radio Romania Actualitati informs.

UPDATE Justice Minister Catalin Predoiu declared on Monday that the ministry came up with solutions for four of the five requests of the unions representing the auxiliary personnel in the judicial system. The solutions will be gradually implemented in line with Romania's economic environment, Predoiu declared.

Predoiu explained that it was due to a severe lack of personnel, that the problem with supplementary hours appeared in the first place. On the other hand, supplementary hours will be strictly managed since they represent 75% or even 100% of the main salary. Predoiu added that it is more advantageous to hire new people than pay overtime.
